Kicking off the new year with a bang, the highly anticipated Marvel Rivals superhero shooter game is set to deliver more jaw-dropping moments! Starting from January 10th, Season 1 will introduce four heroes into the fray. Given that Marvel is unveiling four characters simultaneously, it’s not difficult to speculate who they might be.
It has been revealed that Doctor Doom has been causing trouble left and right. Consequently, Season 1 will feature the arrival of Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, and even Aunt Petunia’s Blue Eyed Thing – yes, you guessed it, the Fantastic Four! For years, the Fantastic Four have been thwarting Doctor Doom’s schemes, so their appearance in this series was only a matter of time.
Indeed, it’s quite extraordinary to have four characters, or heroes, introduced simultaneously in a game that is merely a month old. This anomaly, however, seems justified. The villainous Doctor Doom has been the central antagonist up until now, and the Fantastic Four have longstanding enmity towards him. Moreover, the Fantastic Four are set to make their debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the film “Fantastic Four: First Steps” in July.
In Season 1, Doom and Dracula manipulated the moon’s rotation, causing perpetual darkness worldwide, which inadvertently released a horde of vampires. Frankly, I can’t fathom what advantage Doom gains from this situation, but then again, it’s Doom we’re talking about.
It’s been speculated that we might see characters like Dracula and Blade the Vampire Slayer join the roster at some stage. Dracula boasts an extensive gaming past, having made appearances in games such as Castlevania and Dead By Daylight. As they say, “Man is but a collection of secrets.
I’m looking forward to January 10th with great anticipation, as this game is enjoyable regardless of whether or not you’re a fan of Marvel Comics. For those who are, I imagine you’ve likely put in about 50 hours of playtime by now.
