Marvel Is Supposedly Eying Bryan Cranston for the Role of Professor X, and We Think It’s Absolutely Brilliant!

As a hardcore gamer and Marvel fan with over two decades of comic book history under my belt, I must say that the idea of Bryan Cranston as Professor X in the MCU is nothing short of electrifying! Having witnessed his transformative performances in “Malcolm in the Middle” and “Breaking Bad,” I can confidently assert that he has the acting chops to bring depth and nuance to the iconic role.

It’s confirmed that the X-Men, or mutants as they are commonly known, will eventually join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Although we’ve known this since Disney acquired Fox, it’s still exciting news! While we haven’t seen the X-Men in action yet, there have been mutant appearances in various MCU movies. Despite not knowing exactly when they’ll make their full debut, we’re looking forward to a significant event featuring the X-Men in the future.

There’s been talk about Hugh Jackman possibly reprising his role as Wolverine in the Marvel Cinematic Universe too, but aside from that, there aren’t many casting rumors floating around. One speculation was Giancarlo Esposito playing Professor X, however, since he landed another role within the MCU, it appears that possibility is slim now.

Unverified news about a new rumor is circulating on the internet, suggesting a possible character choice for Professor X in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Here’s what we know so far, and we can’t help but be excited by the possibility!

The rumor that inspired this report is actually a tweet that recently appeared. As said, this is not sourced and could be completely made up, so take it with a grain of salt, but allow us to explain what we think about it:

Bryan Cranston is on the list to recast Professor X after Avengers Secret Wars

Glancing at the tweet, it’s not giving away much detail, but it certainly sparks intrigue. It’s common knowledge that Professor X hasn’t been cast in the MCU yet and finding someone who can fill the shoes of both James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart as the X-Men leader is no easy task. Although there are several contenders, we strongly believe that Bryan Cranston would make an excellent choice for the role, particularly if Marvel decides to depict a more mature version of the character.

The actor who earned an Oscar nomination has shown versatility by mastering various roles. Following his portrayal of Malcolm’s father on “Malcolm in the Middle,” he successfully broke free from typical characterization by taking on the role of Walter White in “Breaking Bad” (and several episodes of “Better Call Saul”), a performance that earned him recognition as one of the greatest actors of his time. Since then, he has continued to explore diverse roles, and it’s clear that he would excel as Professor X.

He has the wisdom, the determination, and the fatherly persona that is needed to portray Professor X, and he also looks like the famous X-Men character, which is why we think that he would be absolutely great in the role.
