As a die-hard cinema enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve stumbled upon some exclusive tidbits about Ironheart. The reliable source, Nerdrotic, has spilled the beans about Jon Bernthal being cast in the upcoming Spider-Man film, a fact that was officially announced by the trades recently.
According to Nerdrotic’s account, the Marvel series underwent almost a dozen revisions and was stored away for more than two and a half years. It’s worth noting that Anthony Ramos himself has mentioned filming occurred three years back.
Nerdrotic adds that people inside Marvel consider Ironheart “the worst thing they have ever made.”
The YouTuber tweeted, “Ironheart underwent nearly a dozen revisions and was left untouched for about 2 1/2 years.” According to some at Marvel, it’s regarded as one of their biggest disappointments.
It appears that, based on recent reports, it’s highly probable that “Ironheart” has been terminated and will not proceed with a second season. Currently, it has the lowest Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes among all MCU shows on Disney+.
Because it wasn’t worth it.

Ironheart Characters Will Return in Avengers 5
Regardless of the unfavorable response, there’s speculation that certain characters from Ironheart may make an appearance in the upcoming Avengers film.
In a different tweet, Nerdrotic revealed that some characters will appear in “Avengers 5,” as part of Marvel’s ongoing storyline following “Endgame.” It’s yet unknown if these characters will survive the upcoming film.

Will MCU blowback hurt Doomsday?
Note that during filming for “Doomsday,” Robert Downey Jr. tried to boost interest in the UK release of “Ironheart.” However, it seems that “Ironheart” has become one of the least-watched Marvel Cinematic Universe shows on Disney+.
Currently, Marvel finds itself in a position where it can only cross its fingers that Robert Downey Jr.’s role in promoting “Ironheart” doesn’t result in any mishaps that might harm “Avengers: Doomsday”. Lately, Marvel has delayed the premieres of both “Avengers: Doomsday” and “Secret Wars”, pushing them farther from the present MCU lineup that is facing challenges. This adjustment seems to be an effort to provide these films with some extra distance from the recent setbacks.
Avengers: Doomsday now gets released December 18, 2026. Secret Wars on December 17, 2027.
