Marvel Has Just Given the MCU a Way of Bringing Ultron Back and It’s Awesome!

As a die-hard Marvel fan who has followed the saga of Ultron since his inception, I must say that this latest development is nothing short of exhilarating! The prospect of seeing our rogue AI overlord walking the straight and narrow (or at least trying to) in the West Coast Avengers comic series is a tantalizing one.

Initially, Ultron proved to be among the most intricate and formidable adversaries encountered by the Avengers within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although his objectives diverged significantly from those of certain other antagonists, it’s worth noting that despite being showcased in only a single film (contrasted with characters like Thanos or Loki), Ultron has still garnered widespread admiration among fans.

At present, Ultron isn’t around – since his initial appearance, there have been different interpretations of the character in Disney+’s animated series “What If…?” and the movie “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”. However, we can expect him to reappear in the future, specifically in the upcoming series titled “Vision Quest”.

At present, it remains uncertain as to how or in what role Ultron will return in the series (we’re aware that James Spader will resume his character), but a recent Marvel Comic Universe (MCU) storyline provides an excellent method for reintroducing this villain in a captivating fashion. To put it plainly, this is quite intriguing!

For Marvel enthusiasts, today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter as the West Coast Avengers #1 comic book hits shelves. This fresh series is the brainchild of Gerry Duggan, Danny Kim, Arthur Hesli, and VC’s Joe Caramagna, promising a wealth of intriguing scenes. The initial issue has already ignited curiosity among fans, hinting at an engaging storyline ahead. Here’s a brief overview:

In a surprising turn of events, ULTRON RESURFACES…REDEEMED? The duo of Iron Man and War Machine have assembled a unique team of Avengers, this time including former villains striving for redemption. Ultron, surprisingly, appears to be following the right path, though it remains tentative. However, is the triumph of one indicative of the success of many? Spider-Woman and Firestar harbor their reservations. Can the good deeds of Ultron truly wipe away his previous transgressions?

The first sentence is already quite interesting, as Ultron is back and it seems that he is in many ways different than the evil robot we had seen in the earlier storylines. And while the comic books are going to do their own thing, with the character once again being a hot topic among MCU fans, we think that the MCU writers could actually take something from this interesting storyline.

In the upcoming series “Vision Quest,” it’s hinted that Ultron will return, and we can expect to see the original character from “Avengers: Age of Ultron” instead of alternate versions as seen in other projects. The specific role Ultron will play or how Marvel plans to reintegrate him into the main timeline remains unknown. However, the comic book version offers intriguing ideas that could inspire the MCU writers to create an engaging storyline.

Absolutely, if Ultron might be redeemed – even though the comics don’t guarantee he’ll become a true hero – there’s a chance we could witness him battling alongside heroes against Doctor Doom in future Avengers films. This scenario presents some intriguing opportunities, and we’ll make sure to keep you informed, so stay tuned!
