Okay, so I just heard that Marvel Cosmic Invasion is officially hitting screens, and they’re ending things with a bang – bringing in two seriously powerful new characters to wrap it all up! I’m really excited to see who they are and how they’ll change the game.
Marvel announced that Iron Man and Phoenix will be playable characters in the game when it launches on December 1, 2025. The game will be available on all platforms and will feature a total of 15 heroes.

Final Two Characters Revealed
The announcement came alongside a brand-new gameplay trailer showing off both characters in action.
- Phoenix enters the fight wielding massive telekinetic powers and her signature fiery aura. The former Marvel Girl brings the heat to Annihilus and his insectoid forces, using wide-area attacks and psychic blasts to clear the screen.
- Invincible Iron Man, suited up in his iconic red-and-gold armor, unleashes high-tech punishment using repulsors, missiles, and the Iron Cannon. Expect a fast, heavy-hitting playstyle perfect for crowd control and ranged combos.

In each stage, players control two characters and can switch between them instantly using a feature called “Cosmic Swap.” This allows for creative combinations and teamwork.

In MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, join a team of Marvel heroes as they battle Annihilus and his Annihilation Wave! This fast-paced beat ’em up features retro pixel art and side-scrolling action reminiscent of classic arcade games. Fight your way from the streets of New York City to the alien landscapes of the Negative Zone and stop Annihilus from destroying the galaxy.
You can play this game with friends locally or online, easily joining and leaving games as you please. It blends action-packed combat with teamwork and takes place in locations faithfully recreated from the comics.
