As a passionate movie enthusiast, I’m buzzing with excitement about the whispers circulating that Marvel is considering several talented actors for the role of Black Panther. Names like John David Washington, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Aaron Pierre (who was Green Lantern John Stewart in James Gunn’s vision), Aldis Hodge, John Boyega, Damson Idris, and David Oyelowo have all been mentioned. Interestingly, Aldis Hodge himself has addressed these rumors on X, teasing us by saying he turned it down. However, it seems like he was just having a bit of fun with fans, as he also joked about turning down a co-lead role alongside Daniel Craig in a James Bond film and an Eddie Murphy biopic. As for anything being impossible, I’d say “never say never.” However, our creative discussions with Ryan Coogler have been limited as he’s currently wrapping up his movie “Sinners,” slated for release this year. We’re eagerly looking forward to delving into potential projects together later in the year. Until then, all speculations online should be taken with a grain of salt, simply because we haven’t initiated our collaboration yet.

It’s not surprising that Moore won’t validate the rumors, given that he is leaving Marvel following the completion of Brave New World. However, he has agreed to stay on and work on Black Panther 3, which may be a requirement in his contract.

Will Marvel recast Black Panther?

To put it simply, it seems like a missed opportunity for Marvel not to consider recasting the role of Black Panther. It’s clear that fans are eager to see T’Challa return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). In fact, Chadwick Boseman’s brother has also expressed a desire for his brother’s legacy to continue in this role.

Although T’Challa appeared to perish in “Black Panther” 2, it’s a comic book movie, so there’s always a chance for his character to return. Given how much fans love the Black Panther storyline, bringing him back would be fitting. If Marvel didn’t intend to reintroduce T’Challa so quickly, perhaps they shouldn’t have made “Black Panther” 2, as it was quite disorganized. Many viewers don’t feel that Shuri is ready or suitable to take over the role of Black Panther. Similarly, the decision to portray Namor as Mexican seems illogical, and the sudden introduction of Ironheart has left some feeling that she was forced into the narrative.

Black Panther 3 details

Due to Denzel Washington’s revelation that Ryan Coogler has a role for him written, it was necessary for Marvel to acknowledge the development of Black Panther 3. This confirmation came alongside Marvel Studios announcing the departure of Moore from their projects. At this point, Black Panther 3 is being developed, with Coogler expected to return as director, although there’s no official release date yet. It seems likely that Black Panther 3 will be released after Avengers: Secret Wars, potentially as one of the films slated for 2028.
