As a long-time Marvel enthusiast with a penchant for the darker corners of their universe, I am absolutely thrilled about the upcoming ‘Eddie Brock: Carnage’ series! After following Eddie’s tumultuous journey as Venom and Anti-Venom, I can’t wait to see him take on his most menacing bond yet – the notorious Carnage.
At this year’s New York Comic Con, during the Spider-Man and his Venomous Friends Panel, Marvel Comics unveiled some exciting news. Jordan D. White, Senior Editor, Al Ewing (currently writing VENOM), and Charles Soule (a best-selling author) were thrilled to announce a new phase in Symbiote stories by launching ‘Eddie Brock: Carnage’.
Starting in February, a new series unfolds, focusing on events post-VENOM WAR. The protagonist, Eddie Brock, now carries the Carnage symbiote, infamous for its aggressive and malicious behavior. The creative direction is under the guidance of Charles Soule, leveraging his success from his notable STAR WARS tenure. Meanwhile, the artistic duties are handled by Jesus Saiz, who has recently demonstrated his skill in CAPTAIN AMERICA and PUNISHER projects.

In ‘Eddie Brock: Carnage’, Eddie is shown struggling with the symbiote’s unquenchable thirst for violence and murder. Soule portrays this struggle, stating that Eddie must confront a difficult situation, as he is compelled to fulfill Carnage’s desires by hunting down serial killers.
As Carnage’s craving for excitement grows stronger, we can expect the situation to become increasingly intense. It’s worth noting that we are delving into a type of horror narrative, and Jesus seems to be exceptionally comfortable and enjoying himself in this dark and eerie setting.
The upcoming series is set to tie in with the current ALL-NEW VENOM storyline, where a fresh character takes on the Venom symbiote. This interesting plot delves into Eddie Brock’s deepest connection yet as he becomes entwined with the infamous Carnage. The question remains: will Eddie be able to control the beast inside him, or will he fall victim to its deadly impulses?
In the upcoming release of ‘Eddie Brock: Carnage #1’, you’ll find two unique covers to collect. One is the main cover beautifully crafted by Iban Coello, while another special variant cover boasts the skills of Mark Bagley. These coveted editions will be available starting February 12th.
