Marvel Actress Confirms No ‘Agatha’ Season 2

Well we already know water is wet, and now it’s said Marvel’s Agatha won’t be getting a Season 2.

It’s not surprising that the news is out about Agatha having poor ratings among the weekly Marvel shows on Disney+, given that it appears to be the least-watched of them all.

What is said about Agatha Season 2?

According to Patti LuPone, who portrayed Lilia Calderu in Agatha, it appears there won’t be a second season for the show, as she even suggests that the possibility of another season was never on the table.

LuPone appeared on the Sirius XM podcast, Andy Cohen Live, and said:

There won’t be a second season for the show. Jac Schaeffer, the creator, visited me in my trailer and informed me, “Patti, I’m only here to tell you that Lilia is going to die,” to which I responded, “But I had hoped for a second season.

LuPone continued:

Schaffer expressed, “I’m not about second seasons.” She clarified, “They suggested a second season for WandaVision, but I declined.” She further explained, “There’s too much writing to be done,” so she focuses on standalone projects. She added, “I truly hope and wish that one day I get another opportunity to collaborate with her as she is simply magical.

As a passionate movie critic, I recently shared my thoughts on the captivating performance by Kathryn Hahn in “Agatha,” a show that left fans eagerly anticipating a potential second season. However, during an interview with the LA Times, Hahn herself hinted at no immediate plans for a follow-up to this engrossing series. In my personal view, Hahn’s portrayal of Agatha was nothing short of extraordinary and left me craving more episodes. But, if we have to part ways with her character, I can only hope that Hahn will grace the screen once again in another captivating role soon.

Though Billy/Wiccan is not her biological son, there remains a glimmer of hope for her that she might be able to fulfill for him what she couldn’t achieve with Nicky. They certainly work well together. I’m quite fond of this aspect and am deeply smitten by Joe Locke’s portrayal. As for the future, we’ll just have to wait and see.”

In my thoughts, this was a moving and fulfilling way to bid farewell to such an extraordinary character that I had the privilege to portray.
