Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra release delayed to early 2026

Skydance Games recently shared that the release of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, originally set for this year, has been moved to early 2026 due to some adjustments made by its publisher, Plaion.

The developer expressed that by taking a bit more time, we can put on a shine, guaranteeing an exceptional experience for you, consistent with our aspirations, and there are plenty of thrilling updates coming up which we can’t wait to reveal!

It’s possible that Skydance will be present at Summer Game Fest 2025, potentially showcasing the game for fans who are eager to see some actual gameplay. So far, all we’ve had is story trailers and technical demonstrations. This highly-anticipated title is categorized as a single-player action-adventure game developed using Unreal Engine 5. However, specific details about the gameplay and platforms have yet to be disclosed.

Drawing inspiration from a 2010 comic series, this game is set in wartime Paris under Nazi rule, where Captain America collaborates with Black Panther to challenge the growing influence of Hydra. In addition to this dynamic duo, two other characters will be available for play. The game’s principal writers are Amy Hennig, Marc Bernardin, and Todd Stashwick.

In 2019, Skydance Games was established and at present, it’s simultaneously developing an unnamed Star Wars project, with Amy Hennig serving as the primary scriptwriter.
