Martha Stewart Laughs Off Reporter’s Fiery Response After Mistakenly Declaring Her Dead In Netflix Documentary

As a lifestyle expert with decades of experience in the industry, I find it fascinating to witness such intriguing dynamics between influential figures like Martha Stewart and Andrea Peyser. Martha’s humorous dismissal of the scathing article is a testament to her resilience and quick wit, traits that have undoubtedly contributed to her enduring success in various domains.

As a lifestyle expert, I find it quite amusing when publications like the New York Post attempt to criticize me, especially considering their recent error involving reporter Andrea Peyser. In my Netflix documentary, there was an unfortunate mix-up where I mistakenly declared her deceased. However, in response to what they’ve labeled a “scathing article,” I choose to take it all in stride and simply dismiss the unnecessary negativity with a chuckle. After all, everyone makes mistakes – even those who write about us!

On November 7th, Stewart participated in the Pennsylvania Women’s Conference where she responded to an article written by Peyser, entitled “Hey Martha Stewart, you celebrated the death of a Washington Post columnist – but I’m still here, lady!” This reaction was prompted by something Stewart mentioned during her Netflix series, ‘Martha.’

Stewart commented on stage, “Peyser wrote a particularly critical piece in today’s New York Post, which happens to be my preferred newspaper. This should lead to an increase in viewership for my documentary, bringing on more laughs and enjoyment.

In the documentary, Stewart mistakenly mentioned Peyser as deceased while recalling events surrounding her insider trading scandal in 2004, during which she faced intense scrutiny from the media. Notably, Peyser was instrumental in publishing critical articles about Stewart at that time.

In her documentary, Martha expressed, “The woman from The New York Post was present, seemingly self-satisfied throughout the trial. She penned harsh comments during the entire process. Fortunately, she is no longer alive. We no longer have to endure the constant stream of negative writing she produced.

This led Peyser to write and release her own rebuttal, where she pointedly criticized the TV personality for making an “unacknowledged cameo” in the documentary, as she was caught off guard when her name was mentioned without prior notice.

Peyser was taken aback when Martha inadvertently spread the startling news about her own death. She shared with Vulture, “Someone brought it to my attention; they’d watched the documentary. So naturally, I had to watch it myself. And I was stunned. I can’t help but be surprised. Given her success and the hardships she’s faced, it’s a bit mind-boggling that she would focus on me.

Nevertheless, it remains a mystery as to why the cookbook author assumed the reporter was deceased. If you’re interested in learning more about Martha Stewart, her documentary “Martha” can be found on Netflix for viewing.
