Married Couple Who Met on Set of Jeopardy Return To Trivia Game Show: ‘It’s Like Lightning Struck Twice’

A loving pair recounts their heartfelt journey from a date on the set of Pop Culture Jeopardy! to becoming husband and wife, as detailed in a recent preview. Before the airing of the upcoming episode on January 8, Greer Mackebee and Sarah Bauer describe how their mutual love for trivia resulted in something greater than a high score.

In 2012, Sarah and Greer crossed paths for the first time during auditions for the Jeopardy! National College Championship. They were both chosen to appear on the show. Sarah made it as far as the quarterfinals, pocketing $5,000. During that period, Sarah was a law student at Indiana University, and Greer was studying law at Stanford University.

When they appeared on the same show, there was sparks flying, and their bond deepened swiftly. Following her graduation, Greer got hired in Washington, D.C., and Sarah moved there not long after to be with him. Trivia has now become an essential aspect of their relationship, leading to numerous unforgettable evenings out, such as attending trivia nights at bars together.

Sarah and Greer have been announced as returning contestants on Pop Culture Jeopardy! over a decade since they first appeared. Sarah shared her excitement, stating, “Who would have thought we’d get another chance to play? It feels like fate has struck twice for us to be back!

As the third team member, Brad Lufkin, their good friend, will be joining the couple. He expressed his joy by stating, “Taking part in a game show, specifically ‘Jeopardy!’, was an exciting endeavor I’ve always aspired to accomplish. Playing this revamped version of the classic game that we all know and love from our childhoods was incredibly enjoyable.

Make sure not to skip the January 8, 2025, installment of Pop Culture Jeopardy! as it will unveil the intriguing tale of love between Sarah Bauer and Greer Mackebee.
