Mark Wahlberg Reveals He Was ‘Constantly Picking’ on the Cast of Flight Risk; Says He ‘Wasn’t Very Engaging off Camera’

Mark Wahlberg is openly discussing his role as the antagonist in his recent film, Flight Risk. During an interview, he admitted that he sincerely apologized to co-stars Michelle Dockery and Topher Grace for immersing himself so deeply into the character that it led him to act aggressively towards them during scene performances. In this movie, Wahlberg portrays a hitman who feigns being a pilot and assaults a U.S. Marshall and a fugitive.

As I chatted with People Magazine, the captivating actor confided that he chose solitude over camaraderie, often retreating to a secluded nook when the cameras weren’t rolling. Immersed in my own mind, I was lost in the world of my character, savoring every moment to ensure a truly authentic performance.

Wahlberg explained that he was fully committed to the role throughout, so when they weren’t filming, he’d often be found alone in a corner or simply retreating to his dressing room for some quiet time.

The person speaking, also known as the shooter, continued by saying, “I acted like a persistent nuisance, nudging and bothering them throughout our flight, from the rear of the aircraft the whole journey.

They kept explaining that they apologized at the end due to not being particularly engaging during downtime or when not filming, as they were simply in a specific mindset. However, the production only spanned 22 days, which is unlike the usual four or five months of work. We completed it swiftly.

Furthermore, the movie is now out, representing the first collaboration between the actor and Mel Gibson on screen. Previously, they had worked together in a few other films.

Flight Risk is available to watch in theaters.
