Mark Ruffalo is brushing off wild rumors that he was fired by Disney and Marvel Studios.
In a recent Instagram video, Mark Ruffalo was asked point-blank if the rumors were true.
He smiled and said he hadn’t been fired, despite people constantly asking him if he had. He reassured them, ‘Not that I know of!’
Hemsworth and Berry Back Him Up
As a big fan, I was so relieved when Chris Hemsworth, a fellow Marvel actor, quickly shut down those rumors, just saying it was all ‘nonsense.’ It was good to hear him address it so directly!
Halle Berry also voiced her support for Mark Ruffalo, saying they would join any protests. The two actors previously worked together on the film Crime 101.

“I’m Around,” Ruffalo Assures Fans
Ruffalo confirmed he maintains a positive relationship with the studio and hinted at potential future projects.
He said he plans to stay with the team as long as they want him, and he has a strong working relationship with them. He hinted at ongoing contributions, adding with a laugh, “I’m still involved, let’s just say that.”

What happened?
Speculation that Disney might fire Mark Ruffalo began after he used his platform at the 2026 Golden Globe Awards to speak out against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and President Donald Trump. His comments followed the death of Renee Nicole Good, a 37-year-old woman from Minneapolis who was fatally shot by an ICE agent during an immigration enforcement action on January 7th.
Mark Ruffalo addressed the incident with reporters, describing it as deeply concerning and comparing ICE agents to “stormtroopers.” He also sharply criticized Trump, using strong and critical language about the president’s character and leadership.
Actor Mark Ruffalo, who is known for his socialist views, strongly criticized Donald Trump, calling him a convicted felon, a rapist, and a pedophile, and labeling him “the worst human being.” Ruffalo expressed concern that relying on Trump’s moral character to lead the country would be dangerous.

No Official Word from Marvel or Disney
There’s been no official statement from Disney or Marvel regarding Ruffalo’s status.
The actor has been playing Bruce Banner/The Hulk since 2012’s The Avengers and will continue the role throughout the upcoming Multiverse Saga, including an appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day this July.
