Margot Robbie was in London this week continuing to promote her new movie, Wuthering Heights. She and director Emerald Fennell attended a Q&A event for industry professionals at Claridge’s on February 6th, as part of the film’s worldwide publicity tour.
Robbie made a striking fashion statement for the event, wearing a black leather corset and mini skirt from Vivienne Westwood’s Fall 1998 collection, completed with Christian Louboutin heels. The day before, Robbie and her fellow cast members, including Jacob Elordi, braved the rain at the UK film premiere.

I just saw the new film adaptation of Wuthering Heights, and honestly, it feels really fresh! Robbie is fantastic as Cathy, and Elordi is perfectly brooding as Heathcliff. The movie really dives deep into their complicated, passionate, and ultimately destructive relationship – it gets pretty intense as things go on. I heard Robbie talking about it at a recent press event, and she said she felt good about taking on the role because the director and the whole creative team were so talented. It definitely shows!
We had a fantastic screenplay and unbelievably talented designers working on everything – the shots, the sets, and the costumes, she shared with Bang Showbiz. It felt like we were given everything we needed to create something truly special.
Emerald Fennell, the director, has talked about her vision for the movie. She aimed to capture the same feeling readers had when they first experienced the book, instead of simply recreating previous adaptations. The film will be in theaters on February 13th.
The film stars Hong Chau, Shazad Latif, and Alison Oliver. Charli XCX composed the music, even creating an entire album for the soundtrack. It was produced by MRC and LuckyChap Entertainment, Margot Robbie’s production company.
Besides this current project, Robbie has been keeping busy with other work. She just finished filming “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” alongside Colin Farrell and is currently a producer on the upcoming “Monopoly” movie. Elordi is also actively working, having recently appeared in “Frankenstein.”
