Margot Robbie Turns Heads in Haunted Corset Look at ‘Wuthering Heights’ Sydney Premiere

Margot Robbie made a striking impression at the Sydney premiere of Wuthering Heights on February 12th, choosing an outfit that matched the film’s dark and dramatic mood. The 35-year-old Australian actress wore a beautiful, pale dress by Ashi Studio Couture, featuring sheer sleeves and a uniquely layered, flowing skirt that instantly caught everyone’s eye.

The outfit featured a specially made corset top created with Mr. Pearl, giving it the shape and support of clothing from the 1700s. The fabric was carefully painted by hand to look old and vintage. She completed the look with a diamond necklace – yellow and darkened gold – designed by Lorraine Schwartz, and custom-made Manolo Blahnik shoes.

Robbie explained to reporters that this project was deeply personal, saying she would have been upset if anyone else had made the film.

Jacob Elordi, who plays Heathcliff, fit the mood of the premiere perfectly in a blue suit. He added a unique touch with a gold tooth cap, featuring a small diamond and an engraved ‘H’ – a detail that showed the film’s commitment to quality.

Since late January, the promotion of ‘Wuthering Heights’ has been a feast for the eyes. Robbie has been collaborating with stylist Andrew Mukamal – who also created her iconic ‘Barbie’ outfits – to capture the intense and passionate spirit of the character Catherine Earnshaw. The film, directed by Emerald Fennell, offers a fresh and emotionally driven take on Emily Brontë’s beloved novel, prioritizing feeling over historical accuracy. Adding a contemporary twist, the movie’s soundtrack features original music by Charli XCX.

As a movie fan, I’m really excited about what Margot Robbie and her production company, LuckyChap, are up to! While their last film, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, didn’t make a huge splash at the box office, they’ve got some incredible projects lined up for 2026, and I’ve heard Wuthering Heights is going to be amazing. Plus, they’re working on a live-action Sims movie – can you imagine?! – and a prequel to Ocean’s Eleven with Ryan Gosling, which sounds absolutely perfect.

Following his well-received performance in Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein, Jacob Elordi remains a prominent figure in Hollywood. He’s set to reprise his role as Nate Jacobs in the third season of Euphoria and will also appear in Ridley Scott’s new thriller, The Dog Stars.

The movie stars Hong Chau as Nelly Dean, Shazad Latif as Edgar Linton, and Alison Oliver. Shot in the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside, the film uses simple and dreamlike sets to highlight the intense emotional and mental struggles of the characters.

The movie ‘Wuthering Heights’ comes out globally on February 13th, perfectly timed for Valentine’s Day. The Sydney premiere was a huge success, with everyone talking about Robbie’s striking, dark appearance and the strong connection she shares with her co-star, Elordi.

We’d love to hear what you think of Margot Robbie’s bold red carpet outfit and the new movie adaptation of Wuthering Heights! Does the film do justice to the original story?
