As an ardent fan following the journey of Maren Morris, I must say that her strength and resilience in the face of adversity is truly inspiring. Her ability to put her son, Hayes, first, even amidst the challenges of co-parenting with her ex-husband, Ryan Hurd, showcases a maturity and love that is admirable.

Is it always necessary for former partners to remain bitter? Singer Maren Morris is demonstrating that exes can set aside their differences, particularly when it comes to their shared children. After her divorce from singer Ryan Hurd, Morris shared insights about their co-parenting experience, expressing her belief that they are excelling in this role.

Despite the challenges that come with being a single parent, Morris manages admirably in this role. After five years of marriage, Morris and her ex-husband, Hurd, parted ways last year, with Morris filing for divorce on October 2nd. As former partners, they share custody of their son, Hayes Andrew.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m thrilled to share some personal insights from Marren, who recently unveiled her latest EP, aptly named Intermission. In an exclusive chat, she opened up about the powerful emotions that fueled many of her new compositions. One track, in particular, caught my attention – it’s called “Because, Of Course,” and it turns out, this heartfelt tune is a beautiful love letter penned to her precious son, Hayes.

Morris reflected as he affirmed, “It concerns him; it’s undeniably my pledge to him: Every love, particularly a mother’s, should be without conditions, yet I appreciate the flexibility in interpretation when people hear the song, they might view it as a romantic piece, but I didn’t compose it for that purpose. Instead, it was about love in general.”

The unexpected news that Maren and Ryan are getting divorced left their fans stunned, as they had witnessed nothing but affection between them and heard stories of their love. Interestingly, while several of her songs are said to be inspired by Hurd, Maren claims this particular song is about her son Hayes.

Maren acknowledges that experiencing parental separation as a child might be challenging. She expresses her thoughts as, “I believe he has been through a great deal, and undoubtedly, there’s a lot of confusion for him, given his young age.”

Apart from Morris stating that they’re both trying their best, she also expresses her conviction that they’ve been exceptional parents for him, which is: “Besides, I strongly believe that Ryan and I are doing an outstanding job as parents to him.”

Through challenging moments, the singer of “Craving” confided that her young son, Hayes (age 4), has served as a source of strength for her. It’s due to Hayes that she manages to keep a strong and resilient demeanor, even during difficult times.

Maren Morris shared with People that it feels like there are numerous emotions when a partnership ends after having a child together, requiring one to present a strong and steady front for the sake of their little one.

Apart from sharing her performance insights, Maren Morris additionally disclosed that Hayes (the singer) adores traveling and enjoys touring alongside her. She elaborated on his preferences, mentioning how he brightens up, and expressed that simply touring together with her son brings her immense joy.
