The ongoing drama within the Beckham family has become very public. After rumors of a disagreement surfaced, the situation escalated when Brooklyn Beckham published a lengthy statement criticizing his parents, David and Victoria. Now, Marc Anthony, a close family friend who attended Brooklyn’s wedding to Nicola Peltz, has shared his perspective, suggesting the conflict isn’t as bad as it appears.
Brooklyn Beckham’s dispute against family called ‘extremely unfortunate’
Marc Anthony addressed the recent drama surrounding Brooklyn Beckham and his mother, Victoria, specifically a dance move Brooklyn reportedly found inappropriate. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Anthony quickly defended the Beckhams, calling them a “wonderful family” and stating he didn’t want to contribute to the controversy. He also shared his long-standing relationship with the family, explaining he’s known them even before his friends David and Victoria Beckham’s children were born – he’s actually Cruz Beckham’s godfather and considers them very close friends.
He’s unwilling to discuss what happened at the wedding, simply stating he has ‘nothing to say about it.’ However, he insists that the current public story isn’t accurate, calling it ‘extremely unfortunate.’ Reports suggest Brooklyn is upset with his parents’ attempts to control him and the disruption surrounding his wedding, leading him to distance himself from the Beckham family with no intention of making amends. He claims his family is trying to create conflict between him and his partner.
The conflict appears to have worsened now that the photographer hid the ‘DAD’ tattoo on his arm. Earlier, his father, David, had called the entire situation a simple error in judgment by his son.
