Mandy Moore defended herself against those who criticized her for posting about a GoFundMe page established for her in-laws, who, unfortunately, like many others, lost their home due to the destructive wildfires in Los Angeles.
Yesterday, Moore’s brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Griff and Kit, tragically lost their home and all their belongings in the Eaton Fire. As they are expecting their first child within weeks, they require our help and support now more than ever.
In additional detail, the touring musician Griff experienced a devastating loss when his collection of drums and percussion instruments was reduced to nothing but ashes in a fire. Moore then stated, “Many people have asked how they can assist during this unthinkable and distressing period… Consider making a donation and spreading the word to help them rebuild.
Instead, some argued that Moore should fund her project using her personal wealth given her stated net worth. To this, she responded, dismissing the criticism as unhelpful and lacking empathy.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m proud to say that we’re extending our support to those close to us who are facing difficult times. To clarify, the GoFundMe page you may have come across was initiated by a dear friend of ours. I’m simply here to share this information as many have asked about ways they can lend a helping hand.
She stated, “We’ve also suffered a devastating loss in a fire. So, please, let us be. There’s no need for you to involve yourself in our situation.
Mandy Moore emphasized that there’s no compulsion for people to donate. Initially, the target was $60,000, but the fundraising effort surpassed this, reaching an impressive $176,000.
