The four-part series Man vs Baby, starring Rowan Atkinson as Bingley, ends on a sweet and feel-good note after a lot of funny mishaps. As a follow-up to Man vs Bee, you don’t need to have seen the original to enjoy it. The story centers around Bingley accidentally becoming the caretaker of a baby during the Christmas season.
Bingley, temporarily helping out at a school, found a baby left behind after an event. It wasn’t a child anyone was expecting – someone had simply left the infant on the school steps and vanished. Around the same time, he was offered a lucrative house-sitting job, which he accepted to help pay for his daughter’s college tuition. He attempted to contact the authorities to help the baby, but the infant kept escaping his grasp, repeatedly delaying rescue efforts.
Bingley is secretly caring for a baby he’s named Jesus at the penthouse, hiding him from his supervisor, Petra. She tells him the building owners haven’t come around at Christmas for a long time. However, things quickly become chaotic: a dog swallows the elevator key, a couple is secretly living in the building, and Bingley accidentally gives the wrong baby to a social worker. Despite trying his best, Bingley struggles with feeding, cleaning, and keeping the baby safe, and his problems just keep mounting.
Here’s what happens in the final episode
Things get stressful when Petra tells Bingley that the penthouse owners unexpectedly changed their travel plans and will be arriving for Christmas. To make matters worse, the housekeeper can’t make it due to a heavy snowfall, leaving Bingley to handle all the preparations himself. He works hard decorating the tree, cooking a large meal, and getting everything ready, determined to give the couple a warm welcome.
However, the homeowners never appeared. Petra eventually apologized for not mentioning that their flight had been redirected. Bingley was stuck with a complete Christmas dinner and no one to share it with, until some surprising guests showed up.
Oh my gosh, you won’t BELIEVE what happened! Bingley’s ex and their daughter just showed up, their flight was cancelled, can you imagine?! And then, get this, a homeless couple with their baby ended up there too, along with a social worker! It was so chaotic, but honestly, it all came together. We had this beautiful, peaceful Christmas dinner, and it felt like everything was finally… right. I thought that was it, the end of all the drama. But NO! Just when I thought things were settled, the penthouse OWNERS showed up at the door! Bingley’s luck is just… unbelievable. It’s never over with him, is it?
