Mama June Shannon’s Daughter Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird And Husband Josh Efird To Part Ways After 6 Years? All We Know About Divorce Filing

As a lifestyle expert with years of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a pang of empathy for Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird amidst her marital struggles and the tragic loss of her sister, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell. Life, as we all know, is an intricate dance between joy and sorrow, and it seems that Lauryn’s life has been no exception.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d put it this way: I’ve been closely following the journey of Mama June Shannon’s daughter, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird, and her husband Josh Efird. Sadly, after six years together, they’re parting ways. On August 1st, Lauryn filed for divorce, stating that they’ve been living separately since July. This news comes from a settlement agreement obtained by PEOPLE.

The Efirds’ spokesperson chose not to offer additional information when PEOPLE inquired. TMZ initially broke the news. The couple, aged 24 (Lauryn) and 28 (Josh), are parents to four children: Ella (6), Bentley (3), and 2-year-old twins Sylus and Stella. They have reached an agreement on joint legal and physical custody. Based on their settlement, they have a prearranged “parenting plan.” Neither party will seek child support from the other.

As someone who has experienced my fair share of family dynamics and property disputes, it seems that the situation between Josh and Lauryn is a classic case of property ownership transition. From what I gather, Josh has been asked to vacate their shared home in Georgia within 60 days so that Lauryn can take control of the property. This change might be challenging for both parties, but it’s essential to remember that such situations often arise due to various reasons, and it’s crucial to approach them with understanding and respect.

Throughout my life, I’ve fervently hoped that God would grant me someone with whom I could build a family and share an eternal love, and He graciously sent that person to me – you. I can’t thank you enough for being an exceptional father to all our children, including Alana, affectionately known as ‘Honey Boo Boo.’ You consistently demonstrate what it means to be a true man in the eyes of our kids. I will forever cherish and appreciate your presence in our lives. My children and I adore you deeply. (Heart emojis)

As a cancer survivor myself, I can’t help but feel deeply saddened by the tragic passing of Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell. At just 29 years old, she faced the unimaginable battle against stage 4 adrenal carcinoma and ultimately succumbed to this cruel disease. My heart goes out to her family, especially Lauryn and Josh, who have been sharing their journey on WEtv’s Mama June: Family Crisis.

During the July 12 broadcast of the program, Pumpkin confessed that she’s “still struggling” as she continues to mourn the passing of her elder sister. Receiving news that her ashes are now prepared was equivalent to a shocking revelation, almost like saying “what the heck.” Although life must go on, she expressed hope that this event won’t derail her progress, as she had recently emerged from a challenging period.

Lauryn’s divorce occurs amid ongoing discussions between her and her sisters about their mother’s marital issues. Mama June Shannon has been married to Justin Stroud for two years, but a heated argument between Mama June (44) and Justin (36), witnessed by the girls on an April episode of the show, led Lauryn and Alana (18) to believe that their mother’s dishonesty could lead to her husband leaving her. After the incident, Alana told Lauryn that she thought Justin would end the marriage then and there, and if Mama June doesn’t stop lying and get her life in order, Alana warned that Justin will indeed leave her.
