As a die-hard cinephile and gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be part of Magic: The Gathering’s debut showcase of Final Fantasy at PAX East this coming Saturday, May 10th, starting at noon! This two-hour extravaganza will run until 2pm, so grab your comfiest seat and get ready to immerse yourself in a treasure trove of iconic information.
The official panel description teases, “Join us as we delve into the extraordinary partnership between Final Fantasy and Magic: The Gathering. We’ll preview cards inspired by every mainline Final Fantasy game, giving you an inside look at how this epic collaboration was forged.” I can hardly contain my excitement for what promises to be a story that transcends galaxies!
We’re incredibly eager to unveil the upcoming revelations. In the world of Magic: The Gathering, not only will the panel at Pax East feature the much-anticipated Final Fantasy discussion, but it’s also guaranteed to include some thrilling surprises. Joining us for this exciting event are Gavin Verhey, Zakeel Gordon, Daniel Holt, and Dillon Deveney.
Beyond the revelations from the Final Fantasy panel, Magic: The Gathering will showcase their collaboration at their Pax East booth. To put it simply, they’re teaming up with Trakir: Dragonstorm as well. In the words of Magic: The Gathering, “Experience playing Final Fantasy is fun, but imagine being a part of the game itself? Drop by Booth #16031 and step into two famous scenes from Final Fantasy VII! Snap some photos and keep an eye out for our Chocobo Awakened Inferno mascot wandering around PAX East to receive a special MTG Arena sleeve while supplies last!” We’re thrilled about the level of immersion at PAX East this year. Oh, and there will be plenty of chances to play Magic: The Gathering at the conference, so do check the full schedule!
