2K Games and Hangar 13 have officially unveiled the launch date for “Mafia: The Old Country“. This action-adventure game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S starting from August 8, 2025.
Expedition 33 and The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered. For an additional ten dollars, you can opt for the Deluxe version which includes extra goodies, a digital artbook, and the original soundtrack. Both editions come with pre-order bonuses that reward buyers with extra cosmetics.
In contrast to previous games, “Mafia: The Old Country” will provide a straightforward storyline journey instead of the typical open-world gameplay that the franchise is known for, making it unique among its predecessors.
Nick Baynes from Hangar 13 stated that the focus of their work results in a raw, realistic, violent, and emotional narrative. Set in the early 1900s Sicily, it’s an origin story about the mafia, following our main character, Enzo Favara, as he swears allegiance to Don Torrisi’s crime family and climbs the ranks.

2K Games’ representative, David Ismailer, expressed enthusiasm about presenting games that captivate audiences without demanding extensive time investment. He mentioned Mafia: The Old Country as an example of such a game in their collection and highlighted its immersive, well-crafted linear narrative, which can seamlessly blend with other games that players regularly play and enjoy on a regular basis.
