As an ardent admirer of the unstoppable Queen of Pop, Madonna, I find myself utterly captivated by her latest endeavor in Pompeii, Italy. It’s not just about turning 66 and celebrating with friends and family; it’s about giving back, fostering art, and bridging cultures. Her commitment to supporting the Sogno di Volare project, allowing local youth to perform at the amphitheater in Archaeological Park of Pompeii, is a testament to her enduring philanthropy and dedication to making a difference.
On the occasion of her 66th birthday, Madonna celebrated with loved ones in Pompeii, Italy. Joining local young people, she participated in an artistic endeavor that she supports.
Last Friday, as reported in a press release, the renowned Like A Prayer singer, now 66 years old, spent her day with participants of Sogno di Volare (Dream of Flying) – a program that encourages young people from local towns to perform classical pieces at the amphitheater within the Archaeological Park of Pompeii.
According to People, Madonna was joined at the archaeological site by approximately thirty individuals, which included her suspected partner, Akeem Morris (a soccer player), her twelve-year-old twin daughters Estere and Stella, and a group of enthusiastic fans, who greeted her with applause.
In addition, she celebrated it on Instagram by sharing elegant photos of herself and her kids along with a picture of Morris without a shirt. The caption read, “Once again in Italy… Wishing myself a Happy Birthday!”
Approximately ten thirty that evening, Madonna emerged accompanied by her companions whom she’d been joining at the park since six pm, as reported. A gathering of around 200 enthusiasts serenaded and danced to some of her tunes in anticipation of her arrival.
Gabriel Zuchtriegel, head of the park, guided the renowned singer and her relatives through the historic location, where several shows were put on. Teenagers and young children participating in the Dream of Flying program, funded by Madonna, serenaded her with songs in Italian, Neapolitan, and English.
The entire project will be funded by the Queen of Pop, Madonna, via her Ray of Light Foundation until the year 2025. This funding aims to encourage local participation in the cultural activities of Pompeii, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Zuchtriegel expressed his gratitude towards Madonna for her generosity, emphasizing that her philanthropy underscores the transformative power of art and culture, particularly among youth within this region.
Additionally, he voiced his admiration for the pop icon’s generous spirit, wisdom, and kindness, stating that it serves as a powerful inspiration moving forward.
On August 16th, around midday, Madonna was seen disembarking a boat in Portofino, Italy, at a private property rumored to be owned by Dolce & Gabbana based on Italian news reports. Accompanied by Estere and Stella, she also brought Morris along, but her other children – Lourdes (age 27), Rocco (24), David (18) and Mercy (also 18) – were conspicuously absent during this trip to Pompei.
