Machine Gun Kelly is responding after being excluded from a popular meme that depicted a symbolic “White Rapper Mount Rushmore.” This widely shared image on social media over the past week showcased carved mountains representing well-known white rap artists.
In a popular meme, the likenesses of Eminem, Mac Miller, Paul Wall, and Russ swapped places with those of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Regrettably, Kelly did not make the cut for this tribute.
On Sunday, the artist formerly known as X (previously Twitter), now known as My Ex’s Best Friend, expressed his displeasure in a post, calling it a “desecration” and shared a spontaneous rap video to emphasize his feelings.
As an ardent fan, I’d rephrase that as: “It’s sacrilege to exclude me from the Mount Rushmore of White Rappers,” MGK expressed, sharing a freestyle collaboration with Gillie Tha Kid and Wallo. In the clip, he raps passionately, “I made ten million with someone, but we aren’t speaking now/ I don’t care about the money, I just yearn for the loyalty we discussed. There are no other parties; it’s solely us. Watching you all switch up makes me squint my eyes.
As I tread along this musical tightrope, I find myself dabbling in a variety of genres, with my initial steps rooted in the world of rap. Yet, my artistic journey has led me to explore realms beyond rap, venturing into punk rock and alternative music scenes as well.
Despite venturing into different musical styles, Machine Gun Kelly has maintained his street-level credibility in hip-hop. It appears he is determined to prove his hip-hop authenticity. Lately, he unexpectedly took the stage at the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. There, he collaborated with renowned hip-hop legends Three 6 Mafia and drummer Travis Barker in a performance.
Apart from his musical endeavors, Machine Gun Kelly’s personal life has also undergone notable changes. Most recently, in March, he welcomed another child into his family as his ex-partner Megan Fox delivered their daughter on the 27th of that month.
