Machine Gun Kelly and Jelly Roll Drop Highly Anticipated John Denver-Inspired Track Lonely Road; Watch

As a die-hard fan of both Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) and Jelly Roll, I couldn’t contain my excitement when I heard they were collaborating on a new track called Lonely Road. The anticipation built up over two long years as these two music powerhouses fine-tuned their masterpiece in eight different studios across four countries, changing the key no less than four times before sharing it with us, their loyal fans.

As a huge fan of both MGK and Jelly Roll, I’m beyond excited about their new music collaboration! Having followed the careers of these talented artists for years, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation as I reflect on their unique journeys.

On July 26, a new song titled “Lonely Road” from KellyRoll was made available. This composition pays tribute to John Denver’s classic hit “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” which was released in 1971. KellyRoll revealed that they spent two long years creating this track, working in no less than eight different studios spread across four distinct countries. They also went through the process of changing the key a total of four times before eventually sharing it with their fans.

More on the new track Lonely Road

I, as a devoted fan of MGK, was thrilled when he announced on X, formerly known as Twitter and Instagram, that the long-awaited release of his new track was imminent. He wrote, “I’m embarking on the Lonely Road now. Anticipated arrival: this Friday!” The excitement among fellow fans was palpable. One user gushed, “Does MGK never grow older?” Another jokingly replied, “Apparently, he does, but in reverse.” Many were also wowed by his stylish appearance for the upcoming video, with one fan commenting, “His salt-and-pepper look is truly a mix of black and blond, making him even more handsome than before.”

In this track, Jelly Roll and MGK appear in their unfiltered and genuine forms. A scene depicts them both clad in mourning attire at a funeral. Another segment involves MGK being taken into custody, while Jelly Roll expresses his affection for Bunnie XO with a kiss. Megan Fox, MGK’s longtime partner, is portrayed as pregnant in the song.

As a lifestyle expert, I’ve had the pleasure of observing some fascinating transitions in the music industry. For years, Jelly Roll and I were grooving to his hip-hop beats, but something magical happened around two decades in. He dared to step outside his comfort zone and try country music. And let me tell you, the result was nothing short of extraordinary! His newfound success is a testament to the power of stepping out of your comfort zone.

Did you know Jelly Roll and MGK turned into friends instead of rivals at one point?

As an obsessed fan, I’d recount it this way: Once upon a time, Jelly Roll and Machine Gun Kelly were musical adversaries, each with distinctive styles that seemed worlds apart. But little did we know, they harbored an undeniable chemistry waiting to be unleashed on the world of music. Their upcoming collaboration is a testament to the power of reconciliation and the beauty of blending genres.

“Jelly Roll and I were both striving to sell 200 tickets to a bar in Columbus, Ohio’s Short North area back then,” he shared with Taste of Country. “The hip-hop scene was cutthroat, so we’d compete like two white rappers. ‘There can only be one successful white rapper.’ Yet surprisingly, we have become very good friends.”

As I write this news article, the YouTube video in question has surpassed 2 million views.
