In an upcoming movie, entitled “The Wizard of the Kremlin,” Jude Law is set to portray the president of Russia. This 52-year-old actor has recently expressed his views about Putin’s role in a different context.
Reflecting on my preparation for this role, I must confess that it felt like tackling a formidable mountain peak. Despite having laid some groundwork earlier, the scale of this challenge left me feeling somewhat daunted, even going so far as to liken it to an exhilarating climb.
The actor from The Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore admitted to Deadline that he hasn’t delved deeply into the project as of yet. He’s begun, but right now it seems like a daunting mountain to conquer, leaving him in the base camp pondering, “Oh dear, what have I gotten myself into?
He admitted feeling overwhelmed whenever he took on intricate roles, and this is something he struggles to overcome. Law also shared, “This is usually my reaction when I agree. I find myself thinking, ‘Oh dear, how will I manage this?’ But it’s up to me to figure it out.
The movie, hailing from France and directed by Olivier Assayas, is centered around the early stages of Vladimir Putin’s career. This captivating production is based on Emmanuel Carrère’s screenplay, which was adapted from Giuliano da Empoli’s bestselling book published in 2023. The star-studded cast includes Law, Paul Dano, Alicia Vikander, and Zach Galifianakis.
Recently, Jude Law achieved a significant professional achievement by receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which occurred in December 2024. Currently, his artistic endeavors encompass roles in projects like The Order and also the latest Disney+ series titled Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.
