Later on, he explained that his choice was shaped by a significant realization regarding his personal life. In an interview with W Magazine, Davidson confessed that he desired some respite from the spotlight to focus on his own healing process. “I was struck hard by the Hollywood spade,” he said to the publication, adding that it had been overdue and he needed it.

As the actor himself puts it, his previous public life was dominated by who he was romantically involved with at any given moment. Currently, he expressed contentment in his mental state, stating “I’m very happy where I am right now, mentally.
