Brenda Song has sparked feelings of nostalgia as she reminisced over a memorable line from her character, London Tipton, on the show Suite Life of Zack and Cody. During an interview for her current venture, The Last Showgirl, the actress shared that she’s often recognized for her role in the Disney series and the well-known PRNDL scene.
At the unveiling of my latest movie, I shared an interesting observation – whenever my admirers catch sight of me, they often recall and reenact a particular scene from the film.
As I pondered over that moment, it struck me that I hadn’t given much thought to what I was manipulating – the gearshift. And After all, London Tipton was onto something when she said it.
Regarding the scene involving Song’s character, who played the part of an airhead heiress of the hotel empire, learning to drive a car from Mr. Moseby (played by Phill Lewis), there comes a point where Mr. Moseby queries Tipton, “Do you know about the gear shift?
As a lifestyle connoisseur, I find myself often in situations where technical terms can be overwhelming, especially when discussing automobiles. So, imagine my amusement when someone asks about the PRNDL (Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive, and Low gear positions on a car’s shifter), just like that hotel heiress did! In such instances, I can’t help but exclaim, “You mean… the gear shift?”
Now, when faced with such technical talk, it’s natural to feel a bit flustered, much like I was when I heard it in bustling London. So, when she said that, I found myself responding rather loudly and sarcastically, “Oh, I’m sorry. Why don’t we just take a break or put on some music? Would you prefer AM or FM?”
After all, life is too short to get bogged down in the details! Let’s enjoy the ride, figuratively and literally.
Currently, the actress will be appearing in an upcoming film, where she’ll act alongside Jamie Lee Curtis and Pamela Anderson. This production is helmed by director Gia Coppola. You can catch this movie on the big screen in theaters.
