Lizzo Turns Heads in Red as She Holds Hands with Boyfriend Myke Wright on Valentine’s Day

Lizzo and her boyfriend, Myke Wright, spent Valentine’s Day together in Los Angeles on February 14th. They were seen holding hands after having lunch. Lizzo wore a cheerful red outfit with black leggings and matching heels, perfect for the holiday. Myke, who is an artist and appears on TV, dressed in a black-and-white jacket with a white t-shirt and black pants.

The couple began dating in 2022 and went public with their relationship in February 2023 at a pre-Grammys event. They’ve been increasingly visible together lately, including at the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala. Last month, Lizzo showed her support for Wright at the opening of his first solo art show, Assorted Flavors, at the Weinstein Gallery in Los Angeles. Wright described Lizzo as his biggest fan and greatest support, emphasizing their close connection.

Lizzo won a legal battle in December 2025 when a judge in Los Angeles threw out claims made by her former backup dancers alleging fat-shaming and discrimination based on weight. Lizzo shared on social media that the accusations had bothered her since they were first made, and that it was incredibly difficult to deal with the situation privately, especially given her history of promoting body acceptance.

As a huge Lizzo fan, I’ve been so inspired by her recent journey. She’s been really open about prioritizing her health, and she’s recently shared a noticeable change in her physique, but she calls it a ‘weight release’ instead of a loss, which I love. She explained she was focused on improving her overall health markers, like her BMI and blood pressure, especially after a tough time with depression last year. In a recent documentary, she said something that really resonated with me: she wants people in the audience to see themselves when they watch her perform, and I think she absolutely achieves that.

Lizzo has a lot coming up! On May 7th, she’s hosting a show called Lizzo & Friends at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles as part of the Netflix Is A Joke Fest. It’ll be a mix of music and comedy, with performances by Eric André, Nikki Glaser, and Wright. Plus, she’s hinting at a new musical chapter following her recent single, Love in Real Life.
