As a devoted fan who has followed Angus Cloud’s journey from the very beginning, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of sadness and loss upon learning about his untimely demise. It’s heart-wrenching to know that such a talented individual, who brought Fezco to life so vividly on our screens, was battling inner struggles that we were unaware of.
Last year, on July 31, Angus Cloud, known for his laid-back portrayal of the endearing character Fezco in the hit show Euphoria, sadly passed away.
The actor passed away in his bedroom, apparently due to a fatal overdose that was unintentional. His mother, Lisa Cloud, remembers him as an individual who endured much hardship throughout his life.
While chatting with PEOPLE and guiding them through Angus’s room, Lisa pointed out that her son exhibited a creative side.
Lisa discovered that a piece of art created by her son Angus was the very spot where he tragically lost consciousness. At first, she believed he had merely fainted, but upon trying to rouse him, her efforts caused Angus to fall limp to the ground.

The mother reminisced that she often heard loud cries, as she knew Angus held a special place in her heart, being the greatest love of her life. According to Lisa, he experienced considerable hardship following the death of his father. It is also indicated in the report that the deceased actor found it difficult to deal with his father’s passing.
Alongside her thoughts, the mother pondered over what led Angus Cloud to resort to drugs – a desperate attempt to alleviate the agonizing headaches that ensued following a traumatic event at age fifteen. That incident involved Angus falling into a construction pit and regaining consciousness after a 12-hour spell, only to discover he had suffered a brain hemorrhage.
After the surgery, he was given painkillers (opioids) as part of his recovery process, marking his initial encounter with these drugs.
Regarding Angus Cloud, the maker of Euphoria, Sam Levinson expressed that he made an effort to provide assistance for Cloud.

As I gear up for the upcoming season, Levinson shared with me that while we’re embarking on an incredible journey, he believes it’s essential for me to seek assistance.
In my fangirl enthusiasm, let me share some exciting news: As reported by PEOPLE, HBO took the caring step of covering Angus Cloud’s treatment costs when he checked into a 30-day inpatient program. After his successful stint in rehab, our beloved character continued his recovery journey for an additional three months with outpatient care. Here’s to wishing him a swift and healthy recovery! #SupportAngusCloud
Levinson further emphasized that Cloud’s desire for sobriety wasn’t as strong as what others around him believed or hoped it to be.
In addition, Levinson mentioned an instance when Cloud donned a distinctive red hoodie similar to one Zendaya wore for the show, then joined Levinson and his spouse in a vehicle during the heart of the second season. Initially, they intended to send him to rehab once more, but those plans fell through.
Prior to Season 3 of Euphoria, in 2023, Levinson reminisced about another intense conversation that took place at Cloud’s home, despite the actor’s initial reluctance to join. This conversation occurred shortly after his father’s passing in May 2023, a loss that deeply affected Cloud and led him to resort to drugs once more.
After these events, Angus Cloud passed away. Fans and friends of Cloud have shown their affection by adorning a casket for him during the cremation process.
