For a long time, NFL games were purely about football. But the Super Bowl halftime show transformed things. Popular musicians started delivering memorable performances, and many people began watching the game just for the music.
Okay, so I was watching the Ravens-Texans game on Netflix over Christmas, and Beyoncé completely blew everyone away! It was such an incredible performance that Netflix decided to make it its own little special – just 13 minutes of pure awesome. Seriously, everyone needs to see this; it deserves to be shared with millions of people!
Okay, so I’m super excited for the Lions vs. Packers Thanksgiving game in 2025! Not just for the football, but because Jack White is doing the halftime show. Seriously, Jack White! As one half of The White Stripes, he just got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and I can’t wait to see him perform. It’s gonna be awesome!
Jack White to be the halftime entertainment at the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers game on Thanksgiving
Jack White, originally from Detroit, has won 12 Grammy Awards and released six solo albums – the same number he made with The White Stripes. His first three albums all topped the Billboard charts, but his latest, No Name, had a unique release and only reached number 108. Despite that, many consider it to be his best solo album yet.
The halftime show will be produced by another Detroit native, Eminem.
The game will begin at 1 pm Eastern Time on November 27th at Ford Field in Detroit. Currently, the Lions have a record of 6-4, only half a game behind the Packers who are 6-3-1. If the season ended right now, the Packers would make the playoffs, but the Lions would fall just short.
You can watch the game on FOX, and they’ll likely show at least part of it, if not the whole thing. If you’re planning to eat Thanksgiving dinner around 2:30 pm Eastern Time, you’ll probably want to be near a TV or tablet.
This game is really crucial, naturally. The only downside for Jack White is that he might not be able to watch all of it, as he’s a big fan of Detroit sports teams and likes to follow them closely.
Thanksgiving will feature two additional games. At 4:30 pm Eastern Time, the Dallas Cowboys will play the Kansas City Chiefs on CBS, with Post Malone performing at halftime.
The Bengals will play the Ravens in the last game of the season. And you’ll be entertained at halftime by the iconic Lil Jon!
