Michael Lohan, Lindsay Lohan’s father, received a nine-month county jail term due to a probation violation, according to documents obtained by Page Six. This sentence was handed down by a judge in Palm Beach, Florida on Wednesday.

According to reports, Lohan is expected to receive credit for the 38 days he already served in prison, but he has lost any chance at early release from his sentence. The 64-year-old was arrested last February on charges of assaulting his estranged wife, Kate Major.

In 2022, the State Attorney’s Office of Palm Beach County first brought charges against Lohan for patient brokering, following an investigation by the Sober Homes Task Force. The prosecutors alleged that he illegally received $25,000 in kickbacks for referring patients, among them a woman with whom he was romantically involved, to rehabilitation centers. Subsequently, Lohan admitted guilt on five counts and was given four years of probation as his sentence.

However, his arrest in February over accusations of a domestic dispute led to an investigation into his situation. The authorities claim that Major dialed the police after asserting that Lohan trailed her to a medical appointment. The officers who arrived on the scene reported that Major had bruises, which she attributed to an earlier altercation where Lohan allegedly knocked her off a chair.

In 2014, this former pair tied the knot, but their union dissolved in 2018. Throughout their relationship, there have been numerous instances of their disputes at home, which have been recorded. Additionally, one of them filed for a protective order, and the ongoing legal dispute persists in Texas.

It was TMZ who broke the story about Michael Lohan’s latest sentencing, but attempts to get in touch with him for comment were fruitless.
