Lindsay Lohan Voices Legendary Character on ‘The Simpsons’: ‘A Dream Come True’

Lindsay Lohan is joining the cast of The Simpsons to voice Maggie Simpson in an upcoming episode.

This Sunday on Fox, viewers can catch a new episode of the show, titled “Parahormonal Activity.” Actress Lindsay Lohan, 39, expressed how thrilled she was to join the cast, telling her Instagram followers it was “a dream come true” to be part of such a well-known show.

I just saw a little clip online, and it was hilarious! Maggie’s trying to warn Marge about Bart getting behind the wheel, but Marge tells her to take it easy on her voice. Maggie completely ignores her and just screams, ‘Please don’t let Bart drive! It’s too scary! He drives so wiggly, and everybody honks at us and yells bad words and shows us fingers!’ It’s such a funny little moment, and perfectly captures Bart’s chaotic driving!

Maggie Simpson rarely speaks, mostly communicating with her pacifier or little noises. When she does talk, the voice actress Nancy Cartwright—also famous for voicing Bart Simpson—provides her voice. The show has occasionally allowed Maggie to speak in special moments, like during dream sequences or when showing what her future might hold.

Over the years, many famous actors – like Elizabeth Taylor, Viola Davis, and Jodie Foster – have played Maggie Simpson. However, Nancy Cartwright, age 68, has consistently voiced Bart since the show started in 1989 and still does today.

In 2024, producer Julie Cartwright expressed her wish for The Simpsons to continue for many years to come. She said reaching 40 seasons would be a fantastic achievement, especially if the entire team was still working on it. Cartwright also highlighted how a new generation of viewers is finding and enjoying the show, which she feels is bringing exciting new life to the series.

Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Bart Simpson, expressed her excitement about the show’s current creative energy. She said it’s still ‘a thrill’ to be a fan while also working on ‘The Simpsons’.
