Limited Edition GLADIATOR SteelBook Releasing Before Upcoming Sequel

As someone who grew up in the digital age, I must admit that there are some films from the pre-streaming era that I have missed out on, and Gladiator was one of them. But now, with this limited edition 4K SteelBook release, I’m overjoyed to finally experience the cinematic masterpiece that is Gladiator. The striking cover art is a testament to Ridley Scott’s vision, and the two discs (one for 4K Blu-ray and one for standard Blu-ray) make it perfect for both my home theater system and on-the-go entertainment needs.

For over two decades now, Ridley Scott’s iconic movie “Gladiator” has graced our screens. Incredibly, I wasn’t among those on Earth when it first premiered. Now, after nearly a quarter of a century, “Gladiator” returns in a stunning 4K SteelBook format. This is certainly an exhilarating foretaste of the upcoming sequel.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but get excited about the special SteelBook edition reissue of “Gladiator” in 4K Blu-ray! This limited piece showcases iconic scenes from the movie right on its cover, transporting us back to the grandeur of ancient Rome. First hitting screens in 2000, this epic historical action film tells the story of Maximus, skillfully portrayed by Russell Crowe, on his quest for vengeance against Commodus, the cruel son of the Emperor. Rising through the treacherous ranks of the Roman gladiator system, Maximus stops at nothing to bring justice and right the wrongs that have been committed.

This SteelBook set includes two discs: one for 4K Blu-ray viewing and another for standard Blu-ray. Additionally, you’ll receive a digital code to stream the movie whenever and wherever you want. The exclusive edition features extra content like Scott’s commentary on deleted scenes, unused sequences, and storyboard designs.

When you decide to watch this movie, there are several options available for the format. Of course, the traditional theater version is an option. Interestingly, the DVDs offer a special feature – audio commentary on the film by director Ridley Scott and actor Russell Crowe. Furthermore, viewers have the choice to view the film in its uncensored version, featuring scenes with graphic content that were removed during its initial release in theaters.

This timely launch coincides perfectly, since the much-anticipated follow-up to the film Gladiator, titled Gladiator II, is set to premiere in cinemas on November 22. In this sequel, which takes place two decades after the original story, Paul Mescal steps into the lead role as Lucius, the son of Maximus. This new character appears to be on a quest for vengeance as a gladiator, seeking justice for those he holds dear. The impressive cast also includes Pedro Pascal and Denzel Washington.

The Gladiator SteelBook will be available for purchase on Amazon starting Nov. 12, priced at $30.
