In a recent conversation with Entertainment Tonight, Liam Payne’s friend Roger Nores, who was involved in the singer’s death inquiry, has been cleared of any wrongdoing related to negligent homicide. According to Nores, he had always believed that the accusations against him would not stick.
As Nores was with One Direction’s former member during his last moments, he initially appeared to be a suspect in the singer’s tragic fall from a balcony at an Argentinian hotel. However, during an interview, Nores stated that he had no idea about what transpired inside the hotel because he had departed the scene 40 to 60 minutes prior to the incident.
The judge determined that Nores had no involvement in obtaining the substances which led to Payne’s tragic accident, and furthermore, as a dear friend of the singer, there was nothing Nores could have done to prevent Payne’s untimely demise.
The court mentioned an email that Nores supposedly wrote to Payne’s family on August 23, showing worries for his friend’s health. However, the court document noted that despite claiming Nores did not alert the victim’s family about his condition, they did not bring up the email in question.
Nores informed ET that he had always believed himself innocent and fully anticipated being acquitted of all accusations.
Beyond my role here, it came to light that two additional team members at CasaSur Palermo Hotel were also involved in the investigation surrounding Payne’s tragic demise. Specifically, I’m referring to the chief receptionist and the head of security, Gilda Martin. Fortunately for them, both were exonerated from any manslaughter allegations that arose during this unfortunate event.
During a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Nores expressed relief that his part in the investigation had come to an end, and he disclosed his intentions to visit the United Kingdom as a tribute to his deceased friend.
