Liam Payne Death: Lamar Odom Recalls Own Experience With Alleged Substances Found In 1D Star’s Body

As a recovering addict who has walked the same path as Lamar Odom, I find it heartbreaking to hear about the tragic death of Liam Payne. The news brings back memories of my own struggles and the dangerous allure of substances that can take away lives so suddenly.

Lamar Odom, a former NBA player and a person in recovery from addiction, shared his thoughts on rumors that Liam Payne had various drugs in his system at the time of his unfortunate death on October 16th. To clarify, a preliminary autopsy for the One Direction member, as reported by ABC News, implied he might have been using a party drug called pink cocaine, which is usually made up of methamphetamine, ketamine, and MDMA, together with cocaine, benzodiazepine, and crack, when he tragically fell from a third-story hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.

When asked by TMZ about Payne’s drug test results, Odom, aged 44, remembered his previous struggles with substance abuse and admitted that he thought he had used cocaine in a pink form at some point. “I’ve experienced a lot,” he stated. “But I’m not ashamed because it’s part of my story.

After a drug overdose in 2015, the former basketball star spent time in the hospital and has since remained sober. Today, he operates several recovery centers.

Speaking about his experiences with crack, the athlete mentioned that the drugs caused him to have strange visions and hear phantom voices. He expressed concern, saying, “If he was experiencing hallucinations, then we can’t predict what might have occurred.” During his interview on TMZ, Odom was asked if he believed the substances found in Payne’s system may have played a role in his untimely death. Odom responded, “Well, when you’re hearing voices, it’s difficult to break free from them. I hope that those voices didn’t guide him into actions that led to his demise. That would be tragic.

He mentioned that while he heard voices during his own substance abuse, he was strong enough to endure the effects.

In a statement to the media, Odom conveyed that he would offer a prayer for Payne, his loved ones, and all those who knew him. Additionally, he expressed a wish that this unfortunate event acts as a warning sign across all industries – be it Hollywood, music, or sports – emphasizing the indiscriminate nature of substance abuse.

Shortly after the death of The Teardrops singer on Wednesday, it was revealed that a 911 call from the hotel management disclosed that a guest (allegedly Payne) had been behaving strangely in the hotel lobby and damaging property while he was awake. The hotel staff expressed concern in their call that this guest’s life might be at risk, as he occupied a room with a balcony.

Shortly following the phone conversation, rescue efforts at the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires led to the retrieval of Payne’s body from its inner courtyard. According to Alberto Crescenti, chief of emergency services, the singer was pronounced dead upon arrival due to severe injuries sustained from his fall.
