I’ve been hearing from Lewis Pullman about the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday movie, and he’s promising it won’t just be a star-studded cast making cameos. Apparently, they’re really giving everyone something to do in the film, which is a huge relief to hear!
Adam Pullman is back as Bob Reynolds, also known as the Sentry, a role he first played in the 2025 film Thunderbolts. He mentioned that the Russo brothers are dedicated to giving each character a significant role.

Lewis Pullman Says Avengers: Doomsday Gives Every Character A Moment
In a recent interview with Esquire Magazine, Bill Pullman shared that Avengers: Doomsday successfully recaptures the core essence of what makes the characters so compelling.
Pullman explained that their work focuses on the core, fundamental qualities of human characters. He believes every character needs defining moments to fully develop their personality and depth.
Marvel fans will likely be happy to hear what Pullman shared. With so many heroes expected in Avengers: Doomsday, a common worry is that some characters won’t get enough focus. But Pullman assures us that won’t be the case – every hero will have a significant role.

Russo Brothers Reportedly Avoiding Background Roles
Pullman also praised Joe and Anthony Russo for how they are handling the massive cast.
The Russo brothers are excellent at ensuring everyone has something to do, he explained. They understood the importance of utilizing the incredible talent they had assembled and didn’t want any of the actors to be sidelined.
The Russo brothers seem to be working to prevent a common issue in crossover films: having major stars with limited roles while the plot focuses on just a few characters.

Lewis Pullman Teases Exciting Marvel Pair-Ups
Pullman also hinted that Avengers: Doomsday will deliver some unexpected team-ups between characters.
He explained that there are many exciting collaborations happening, and fans will be thrilled to see them. It’s fun to speculate about who might work together – imagining combinations like A and B, or B and D – and it’s great when those ideas actually become reality.
A major draw for the movie will likely be seeing certain characters interact, as fans have long hoped for these pairings. Actor Josh Pullman hints that Doomsday might finally deliver on many of those wishes.
Avengers: Doomsday gets released on December 18, 2026.
