Radar Online claims DiCaprio’s girlfriend, Vittoria Ceretti, feels overshadowed by Winslet, who is reportedly a constant presence in his life and often gives him advice on both his work and personal matters.
According to a source, Ceretti is bothered by DiCaprio constantly referencing his ex, Kate. The insider says that whenever they argue, DiCaprio brings up Kate’s opinions or past conversations. This reportedly makes the 27-year-old model feel like she’s competing with an idealized memory of Kate that DiCaprio has held onto for over twenty years.
Despite rumors of a romance, Winslet has consistently stated that her relationship with DiCaprio is purely platonic, like that of siblings. She’s even joked that a romantic connection would feel like incest. She famously said they never had any romantic interest in each other while filming their successful movies. However, Winslet does stay with DiCaprio when she’s in Los Angeles, which reportedly causes issues with Ceretti.
Sources say things have gotten so tense that Ceretti is thinking about giving DiCaprio a serious choice: change, or she’ll leave. While she values their history, she feels Winslet oversteps boundaries and interferes too much in their everyday life. Whenever Ceretti tries to discuss it with him, he reportedly gets defensive, which only makes things worse. Ceretti is reportedly tired of feeling like a second priority and wants to be his main focus.
Leonardo DiCaprio is enjoying a very successful year for his career, despite ongoing attention on his personal life. He started the year as a strong awards contender for his performance in the Paul Thomas Anderson film, One Battle After Another, which also features Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, and Teyana Taylor. The movie has received critical acclaim and earned nine Golden Globe nominations. The actor has a very busy filming schedule coming up. He’ll begin work on a new Martin Scorsese movie, What Happens at Night, in Prague this February. The psychological thriller will also star Jennifer Lawrence, his co-star from Don’t Look Up, and the two will play a couple adopting a child while traveling in Europe. This project will be the seventh time the actor has collaborated with Scorsese on a film.
