For the forthcoming second season of Netflix’s romantic comedy series “Nobody Wants This”, popular actors Leighton Meester and Miles Fowler will join the already impressive cast. Their roles are expected to introduce fresh elements into the developing narrative of the show.
Actress Meester will portray Abby, a past school rival of Joanne (played by Kristen Bell), who has since risen to fame on Instagram as an influencer for mommy bloggers. This is a delightful reunion for Meester and Bell, both having played significant characters in the series “Gossip Girl,” with Bell being best known for her role as the show’s narrator.
In the upcoming season, Fowler takes on the role of Lenny, one of Noah’s (Adam Brody) teammates in the Matzah Ballers. His character is arranged for a date with Morgan, Joanne’s sister (Justine Lupe), bringing in some fresh, humorous scenes.
After a triumphant first season, Nobody Wants This was swiftly given the green light for a second season, this time helmed by new showrunners Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan (known from Girls). The original series creator, Erin Foster, continues her involvement in the project as a writer and executive producer.
Actress Meester, who is currently featured in Good Cop/Bad Cop on The CW, will also make an appearance in season two of The Buccaneers on Apple TV+. Her previous roles include How I Met Your Father and Single Parents. Meanwhile, Fowler, known for his part in A Man on the Inside on Netflix and the popular film Bottoms, as well as Fox’s The Resident, will continue to grace our screens with his talent.
