Reports suggest that the price of the Lego Game Boy will be approximately $59.99 (equivalent to about £48). This places it within a similar price range as other mid-sized Lego sets inspired by Nintendo characters, like the Lego Piranha Plant priced at £57.99 and featuring 540 pieces.

The forthcoming Lego Game Boy is anticipated to consist of approximately 421 components, rendering it a relatively modest collection. To put this into perspective, the Lego Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) set boasted an impressive 2,646 pieces and included a Lego television screen to replicate gameplay. Despite the Game Boy set being substantially smaller, it’s still predicted to embody the timeless design of the cherished handheld gaming device.

Although official images of the Lego Game Boy haven’t been released yet, enthusiasts are already brainstorming potential features. Might the Lego Game Boy include Lego cartridges for slotting into the console? Could there be additional elements such as a Lego Game Boy Printer or a clip-on light reminiscent of the accessories associated with the original device?

The collaboration between Lego and Nintendo is growing at a fast pace, and since the rumored launch date has surfaced, it seems we might soon get an official unveiling of the Lego Game Boy.
