Alongside these disclosures, the actors and producers of the show revealed some fascinating anecdotes from behind the scenes and their personal reflections on the show and characters. For instance, Arin’s pie obsession is inspired by Deven Mack, his voice actor, who was unaware of this connection. Previously, Doc and Burke had collaborated with Mack on the animated series “Super Dinosaur,” based on a comic by Robert Kirkman. On their first day of filming for the show, Mack brought a “Super Dinosaur”-themed pie that impressed the writers significantly. When designing Arin’s character, Doc and Burke kept Mack in mind, hoping he might be cast for the role. This idea emerged before any serious consideration of casting had begun. Nevertheless, they incorporated this quirk of Mack’s into the very essence of Arin.
Amusingly, when Mack received an invitation to try out for a part, he considered letting someone else have a turn, so he deliberately made his voice seem more juvenile than he believed it should be. However, against all expectations, he was granted the role and instructed to make his voice sound older. It wasn’t until he read the entire script that Mack realized the character of Arin was eagerly anticipating entering a pie contest – a role that perfectly suited him. And so, the twists and turns of fate led Mack to secure this part.

Furthermore, she defiantly proves that one doesn’t have to conform to others’ expectations; instead, following one’s own beliefs is a powerful choice.
