LEGO is launching a new challenge for builders that’s sure to excite fans of Yu-Gi-Oh!. The popular anime and card game is the inspiration for the next LEGO Ideas set. Now through March 10th, fans can submit their own LEGO creation ideas based on the Battle City and Duelist Kingdom storylines.
There’s a max number of 2,000 pieces for a build and it will be judged off the following criteria:
- Overall coolness and originality: 25%
- Inspired details: 25%
- Relevance to theme: 25%
- Best use of LEGO elements: 25%
Starting April 14th, fans can vote for the LEGO Yu-Gi-Oh! set they want to see become a real LEGO set. We’ll find out the results in September, and if everything goes according to plan, the winning set could be available to buy around 2027. The person who submits the winning design will receive the following:
- 1% of the total net sales of the product
- 10 complimentary copies of their LEGO Ideas set
- Credit and a bio as the LEGO Ideas Fan Designer in the set materials
