This year celebrates 25 years since Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy was released. To mark the occasion, Fathom Events and Warner Bros. recently showed the films in theaters again for a short time. If you didn’t get a chance to see them on the big screen, you can still watch them with an HBO Max subscription. And for fans who collect, LEGO has just released a new Lord of the Rings set featuring Sauron’s helmet.

This set lets you build a large-scale replica of Sauron’s helmet, bringing the iconic villain to life. It also includes a collectible minifigure of Sauron holding The One Ring. With 538 pieces, a display stand, and a name plaque, it’s a great addition to any Lord of the Rings collection.
LEGO is releasing a new “Lord of the Rings” set – Sauron’s Helmet – on March 1st, a date fans will know as Aragorn’s birthday. It costs $69.99, making it a reasonably priced option among LEGO’s many sets. While some “Lord of the Rings” sets, like those of The Shire and Rivendell, are quite large and costly, this Sauron set is a great value. You can order it now!
Good news for fans of Middle-earth! Warner Bros. is starting production on a new film, The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, very soon. Filming will begin in New Zealand within a few months, and will bring back familiar faces like Elijah Wood as Frodo Baggins and Ian McKellen as Gandalf. Andy Serkis will both direct the movie and return as Gollum. The Hunt for Gollum is scheduled to be released on December 17, 2027.
