Leaked DCU Lanterns Footage Reveals Epic Flight Scenes of Hal Jordan and John Stewart

As a passionate fan, I was thrilled to discover a sneak peek into the forthcoming DC Universe’s “Green Lanterns” TV series. It seems that Kyle Chandler’s character, Hal Jordan, and Aaron Pierre’s character, John Stewart, will both be soaring through the skies in this exciting new series!

Indeed, although the series is often referred to as realistic, it’s worth noting that there might be a small concern since it will employ Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI) and special visual effects to depict the Green Lanterns in flight.

On the second slide of the Instagram video (watch it here), you’ll notice that stunt coordinator Justin Reiner is using a harness and wires to fly upwards, holding his fist in a ring shape. Although this won’t appear exactly the same in the series as actors will replace the stuntmen, it gives us a sense of how they’ll execute flying scenes, with the ring-first position being crucial. It’s likely that Computer-Generated Imagery (CGI) will also depict their green power rings, energy, and Green Lantern suits in the final product.

Update: WB is taking this down as fast as it’s going up.

Update #2: Video is available to watch on Facebook.

Plot

The series is presented as focusing on John Stewart, a fresh recruit, and Hal Jordan, an established Green Lantern, who are both space-faring law enforcers. They become entangled in a sinister, homegrown mystery while probing a murder that has occurred in the Midwest of the United States.

In Chris Mundy’s words, our series presents the rings and their associated powers, as well as other elements of the lore. Characters and aspects from the story will appear or be referenced. This show delves into who these characters are during their work and off-duty hours, making it understandable for those unfamiliar with the mythology while still providing a rewarding experience for those deeply knowledgeable about it.

Mundy stated, “Currently, we’re not involved in a broader narrative scheme. Each episode in season one is intended to stand alone as a complete television season, with the hope that it will lead to multiple future seasons.
