As a dedicated follower of Leah Remini and Angelo Pagan, I’ve watched their love story unfold over the years, from their whirlwind romance to their beautiful marriage and the birth of their daughter Sofia. It’s always been heartwarming to see their strong bond, especially when they worked together on “The King of Queens.”
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’m sharing some personal news that may resonate with many of you. After more than two decades of shared journeys, Leah Remini and Angelo Pagan have decided to part ways. This poignant decision was announced through a joint Instagram post on Thursday, August 29th.
“Here we stand, after 28 years as a couple and 21 years of marriage, we’ve made the difficult decision to legally part ways. This wasn’t a hasty choice; it was carefully considered. Although divorce can be challenging, we are approaching it with optimism because we believe it’s the right move for us.”
In a later part of their statement, the separating couple disclosed their intention to continue celebrating holidays, enjoying common TV shows, and reuniting as a family. Realizing that this arrangement might draw curiosity about the reasons behind their divorce, Leah Remini and Angelo Pagan acknowledged that they have both undergone significant transformations over the past few years, which led them to make this decision that truly represents who they are today.
“Our bond is still strong—it’s just evolved into something different,” they explained.
Recognizing that they’re delighted about sustaining a union this enduring, the pair conveyed their anticipation of continuing to be intertwined in each other’s lives and creating new treasured moments, albeit in a fresh manner. Regarding the choice to announce their decision openly, the soon-to-be ex-couple mentioned that they felt it was only right to inform their followers since they had shared their marriage so openly on television throughout the years.
Remini and Pagan conveyed optimism, suggesting that people can view changing or ended relationships not as failures, but as part of life’s journey. “We’ll continue to share glimpses into our lives as we move forward in this new phase,” was their final statement.
In 2003, Leah Remini and Angel Pagan tied the knot in Las Vegas. Their romance began back in 1996 when they first crossed paths at El Floridita, a Cuban eatery and nightclub in Los Angeles. Reflecting on their initial encounter during an interview with Redbook magazine in 2010, Remini stated that she had fallen head over heels for him right away.
2019 saw her sharing details of their initial encounter during a guest spot on RuPaul’s show, reminiscing about spotting Pagan from afar and inadvertently choosing less-than-ideal actions, like querying his work hours.
For a number of years, Remini and Pagan collaborated on different projects, among them was her popular sitcom “The King of Queens,” in which he featured as a recurring guest star.
The former couple shares daughter Sofia Bella, born on June 16, 2004. Previously, Pagan was the parent of three sons.
