As an obsessed fan of Love Island USA Season 6, I couldn’t contain my excitement when the final episode arrived. And what a finale it was! The final four couples were granted access to their phones for the first time since entering the villa. Among them was Leah Kateb, who captured my heart as a runner-up.
Leah, originally an Islander alongside Miguel Harichi, remained till the finale of the reality show with her partner. Initially paired with Rob Rausch, their relationship was marked by numerous ups and downs during the season, ultimately leading to a strong friendship. The second place was secured by Leah and Miguel, just behind JaNa and Kenny Rodriguez in third, and Nicole Jacky and Kendall in fourth. Serena and Kordell emerged victorious, claiming the $100,000 reward at the end of the competition.

After retrieving her phone, Leah Kateb expressed on her Instagram Story, “Got my phone back now. The affection you all show is beyond what I could have imagined. I was not ready for the overwhelming love I encountered outside the villa.” In the background, she added the melody of “You’re on Your Own, Kid” by Taylor Swift from her Midnights album.
In a different tale of confession, she acknowledged Taylor Swift and shared with her vast audience that Taylor’s music helped her endure her time on Love Island. She penned down, “Kindly pass this message to @taylorswift, she saw me through each moment of my Love Island stay,” and added the track “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” from The Tortured Poets Department as an illustration.
In a different account, Leah reposted a fan-made video showcasing her and Miguel’s collaboration on the track “Slut.” Accompanying the post, she commented, “I’ve been singing this song throughout my time in the villa, if you know me. This is it all ❤️❤️”
Leah Kateb and Rob Rausch’s drama on Love Island USA Season 6
During Love Island USA Season 6’s early stages, Leah and Rob shared a strong connection and desired each other’s company. But their relationship shifted once Andrea Carmona joined the cast, leading Rob to choose her as his partner instead, leaving Leah feeling discarded. A few days afterward, during an assignment that demanded the ladies eliminate one of their own, Andrea was eliminated from the villa.
Rob Rausch accused Leah of being behind Andrea’s departure from the show. Leah was upset with Rob for choosing to be with Andrea instead. However, eventually Leah teamed up with Miguel, and later on, she apologized for her past actions. Despite their earlier conflict, Rob and Leah became friends again. The tension between them was an engaging aspect of the program. By the finale, Leah had developed a stronger connection with Miguel.
