‘Sovereign’ (2025)

This thriller tells the story of Jerry and Joe Kane, a father and son involved with the sovereign-citizen movement, and the events surrounding the 2010 West Memphis police shootings. The film, written and directed by Christian Swegal, features a cast including Nick Offerman, Jacob Tremblay, Thomas Mann, Nancy Travis, Martha Plimpton, and Dennis Quaid. Running just over an hour and forty minutes, and distributed by Briarcliff Entertainment, it focuses on the growing tension between the Kanes and the police in the American South.

‘Casino’ (1995)

Martin Scorsese’s classic film tells the story of how casinos in Las Vegas grew, and how that growth became connected to organized crime. Starring Robert De Niro, Sharon Stone, and Joe Pesci, the movie brings together many of the same creative talents who worked on Scorsese’s previous gangster films. The original theatrical release, distributed by Universal, is over three hours long. It’s famous for its accurate portrayal of the time period, its use of narration, and its look inside the world of casinos controlled by the mob.

‘Twilight’ (2008)

The first movie in the popular young adult vampire series follows the love story between Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, set in the perpetually rainy town of Forks, Washington. Directed by Catherine Hardwicke and starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, the 121-minute film kicked off a successful movie franchise based on Stephenie Meyer’s books. It grossed over $400 million globally and was released by Summit Entertainment.

‘The Devil Wears Prada’ (2006)

This film takes place in the fast-paced environment of a fashion magazine and centers on Andy Sachs, a young journalist who lands a job as assistant to the demanding editor, Miranda Priestly. Directed by David Frankel, the movie stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. It’s based on Lauren Weisberger’s 2003 novel and earned over $326 million globally, with a runtime of 109 minutes.

‘Joy to the World’ (2025)

A popular lifestyle expert known for portraying a flawless family life finds herself in a chaotic situation when she tries to create that perfect image for a live Christmas Eve TV special. She secretly enlists the help of friends and neighbors – even her best friend – to play the roles of her family. The holiday romance, directed by Jerry Ciccoritti and starring Emmanuelle Chriqui and Chad Michael Murray, began streaming on Hulu on November 1, 2025, and runs for approximately 87 minutes. ‘The Interview’ (2014)
