Approximately five years have passed since LaMelo Ball became an official member of the PUMA Hoops team, and he’s getting ready to release his fifth signature model with them. Recently, Ball presented a low-top version of his MB.04, and now, prior to its upcoming launch this month, he has officially revealed the PUMA MB.05.
The MB.05 shoe design focuses on Zion Williamson’s prominent presence on the basketball court, reflected in its main style that sports a “World Tour” theme. An earlier model of this shoe was glimpsed during our initial sneak peek at the silhouette, featuring bright pink and iridescent highlights throughout the shoe, while intricate barbed wire details echo Williamson’s tattoos. Notable features include an engineered mesh upper adorned with a repeated “1” pattern, a molded skull on the court-ready sole, and NITROFOAM cushioning in the midsole.
On August 29, LaMelo Ball’s collaboration with PUMA Hoops, the MB.05, will debut in its “World Tour” colorway. This release will happen through both PUMA and select retailers. The suggested retail price is $125 USD, although the PUMA website shows a price of $130 USD. Additional colorways of this sneaker are expected to follow this fall.
