During Lady Gaga’s Mayhem tour in Brazil, she reportedly drew an astonishing crowd of 2.5 million people. However, the safety of the venue was questionable, as city police disclosed that they had foiled a bombing plot aimed at the event. In a press release, officials shared that the explosive device was placed by a hate group with intentions to harm nearly 2 million concertgoers, including tourists and children.

In simpler terms, the Brazilian Police Department referred to a dangerous operation as “Operation Phony Beast.” They disclosed that a gang of individuals, including some teens, were planning an attack using the explosives they carried and Molotov cocktails, which could have resulted in significant destruction.

As stated, the authorities have apprehended the head of the organization due to unlawful gun ownership. Simultaneously, a young individual was detained for suspected involvement in an intended attack at GaGa’s upcoming performance.

“The objective of the action taken was to counteract any harmful digital activities that could pose a threat to the public during the event, while ensuring no disturbance for attendees. The measures were executed covertly and accurately, minimizing any unnecessary panic or misinformation among the public.

Furthermore, during the concert, it was also announced online by the military forces in Rio de Janeiro that they had confiscated approximately 200 potentially dangerous items at the security checkpoints set up at the event location.
