In simpler terms, Officer Felipe Curi from Rio de Janeiro’s Civil Police disclosed a chilling plan by artist Da Silva. He claimed that Da Silva had revealed his intention to carry out a Satanic ritual involving the murder of a child during one of his performances.
Da Silva and a 17-year-old male were taken into custody following the discovery of their suspected plot. It’s alleged that this pair employed the digital messaging service, Discord, to propagate violent ideologies, particularly amongst teens.
It is claimed that they intended to turn individuals into tools for executing an attack, with a focus on causing harm and potentially killing children and those identifying as part of the LGBTQ+ community at a concert. According to the police complaint (as reported by the New York Post), their plan involved creating Molotov cocktails and explosive backpacks.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: Last week, it came to light that Da Silva was apprehended due to unlawful gun possession charges. This incident, coupled with concerns about potential terrorism, understandably stirred up national worry. In response, Brazil’s officials addressed the situation and commended the swift actions taken by law enforcement.
According to Congresswoman Erika Hilton, written on platform X, the group this individual headed endorsed abusive views such as pedophilia, misogyny, and discrimination against LGBTQ+ individuals via social media. Moreover, at his arrest, he was found with an unlawful firearm.
Rio de Janeiro’s Civil Police Chief, Luiz Lima, informed reporters that a joint effort by authorities managed to save “numerous” lives. He claimed that these groups aim to boost their reputation and recruit even more youth.
On Monday, Da Silva was granted bail, causing an uproar, whereas his underage associate, detained for holding child pornography, remains in custody.
